Original - Flight of Five Lip Crayons

$47.00 USD

Our original plastic-free lip crayons blend like a dream, nourish your lips and last for hours. Hand-made in small batches in our atelier.

Monday: Strong, buildable pink, verging on magenta, with cool undertones. Kick the week off boldly!
Tuesday: Classic polished nude with hints of caramel, structured with warm brick
Wednesday: A confidence-building stop-sign red, balanced to make it universally flattering
Thursday: A great everyday plum, supported with a mix of deep brick and flattering pink tones
Friday: Sheer, easy raisin - great on its own or blended to bring other colors closer to neutral.

The lipstick wardrobe that started it all, each crayon in Vermouth’s OG flight can stand alone or take it to the next level when blended together. Start the week by sketching in your lips with our bold Monday. Too much? Tone it down with a smudgy blend of Thursday. Not in the mood for a quiet Tuesday? Amp up the volume by patting on a little Wednesday. Or get ready to slip comfortably into the weekend with no fuss Friday.

All Vermouth crayons are made with over 70% moisturizing ingredients like cocoa and mango butters. This makes them a little firmer than traditional lipstick. Follow these three simple steps for easy application:

  1. Let the crayon warm slightly against your lips
  2. Gently sketch in the color
  3. Make it yours! Build up your chosen color or blend in a different color

The payoff is a comfortable, long-lasting color that nourishes your lips throughout the day.

Returns

As part of our sustainability initiative, Vermouth doesn’t accept returns. The carbon impact of shipping a product back is worse than its disposal, which is why we took on the responsibility of making our products from compostable materials.

We’re committed to creating guilt-free, high-quality products you’ll love. We’re a small company, just starting our journey, and are unable to offer refunds. If we didn’t get it right for you, we’re very sorry. Please send us your feedback and help us improve so we can create the product you deserve.

If your flight arrived damaged or defective we are happy to offer you a replacement free of charge.

Why isn’t Vermouth vegan?

This is a great question and one we went back and forth on for a while. The only non-vegan ingredient in our formula is beeswax. Common vegan replacements for beeswax are by-products of petroleum refining - a process that accelerates global warming and harms the natural environment. We feel good about this choice, and we hope you do too.

Why doesn’t Vermouth accept returns?

Consumers in the United States return 3.5 billion products a year, only 20% of which are defective. More than 70% of these returns end up in a landfill, adding pollution and waste to the environment.

Here at Vermouth, we don’t think that’s right. We believe that companies should take responsibility for the ways in which their products affect the earth through their entire lifecycles, from production to disposal.

The carbon impact of shipping a product back is worse than its disposal, which is why we include sustainability as one of our core values. All our products are compostable so that you don’t have to worry about adding to the problem. That’s a win for all of us.

Why the small size?

Some call it small, we call it just right. When was the last time you finished an entire tube of lipstick before it dried out or rolled around in your bathroom drawer for months on end? With around 40 applications per lip crayon, you’ll find yourself with fresher lipstick on hand (yes, that’s a thing), and with five colors in a pack, there’s little risk in trying a shade that’s new to you—it might just end up being a new favorite!

Does Vermouth sell its playsticks individually?

At this time, we only offer our playsticks in five-pack flights, but as we mentioned above, with five colors in a pack, there’s little risk in trying a shade that’s new to you - it might just end up being a new favorite!

Our colors are created one by one.

By an artist.

Fresco painter (and Vermouth co-founder) Meg Diaz believes every woman should have the tools to create her mood for the day.

"The joy of Vermouth crayons is they mix and match so they make it so easy for anyone to go from a subtle swipe to a party lip - even if you haven’t worn lipstick for years!"

Each bespoke color is handmade in the Vermouth atelier in small batches.

It's a slow and careful process, and we only use the best, cleanest ingredients.

Obsessed

Love everything about these lip colors. They look so pretty and natural and I and they are so fun to use. I’m not normally into makeup but these caught my eye because they look more like art supplies than lip stick. Thursday is my favorite ❤️

Compliments on Wednesday red.

Rec’d a number of compliments on Wednesday red but harder to wear the lighter and more neutral tones. It takes some effort to apply those shades, but love the brighter shades. Will buy again.

Just right!

This flight is a great little wardrobe of lip colors for me, with a good choice for any occasion or outfit. They feel protective and nourishing on my lips. I am satisfied with the amount of product--no more throwing away half used expired lipsticks!/

Completely overjoyed

I wear each and every color in this box. I love them all. I am so impressed with the concept, the packaging, and that I don't have 6 different lipsticks slowly dying in my makeup bag. What a delight!

Lipstick in a Box

Love the whole concept of this lipstick system. I am trying to be more conscious of buying cosmetics that are better for the environment. I love the colors and used with a liner they stay on better than most other lipsticks I have tried.
My only suggestion would be to have an option of building your own "box" of the 5 colors. I mostly wear only 2 of the 5 colors in the Original Flight of 5 colors. Being able to customize my own box would definitely be a selling point .
